Grow your YouTube channel with Pinterest
Thinking about how to get traffic to your YouTube channel? You have probably been following all the experts in marketing your YouTube channel.
You have good SEO (hopefully), you publish regularly, share it on Facebook… but what else? Many YouTubers I’ve encountered do not use the Pinterest Marketing strategy to get more views on their videos.
Today I’m going to break down the strategy of using Pinterest to get traffic to your YouTube channel.
Are you happy? Let’s immerse ourselves!
Additional traffic to YouTube using Pinterest
Like YouTube, the key to successful marketing on Pinterest is consistently giving them new content. I don’t want to set unnecessary expectations but spending about an hour a week on your Pinterest line will be crucial to your success.
So now that your expectations are clear let’s get into it.
First, you need to have a business account. Once you have done that and you are ready, you can start developing this strategy. Improving Your YouTube Channel
You will want to complete your profile completely so users know who you are, what you offer and why they should sign up.
You do not want to start posting traffic on a fully-fledged YouTube channel. People will come without knowing what to do and go somewhere very quickly.
So make sure your channel art is uploaded and your section is about! There is even a video section to welcome any new guests to your channel.
Find all the smallest details in the area! Once you have done this just skip to the next step.
Preparing your YouTube videos
There are a few things you will want to do with your videos to get them ready for the cold traffic from Pinterest.
First, make sure you have a video icon worth clicking on. This is significant for sharing recordings from YouTube to Pinterest. This is what they will see when you share your rectangular video.
Next, make sure the description of each video is completed. This is a great opportunity for you if you have a blog to include links to your logs, blog posts, resource pages and more.
You can even add your Pinterest button to your sharing buttons in your channel art. If you did not add this you can do it in your settings.
Sharing YouTube videos on Pinterest
Once you start sharing your videos on Pinterest you can do it in 2 different ways.
First, you can use the video sharing button to share it directly on Pinterest. This will share a horizontal video format anyway.
The following method is my favorite method because you get to control the image you share. Log in to Canva and create a Pinterest image designed for your YouTube video and upload it using your video link.
This is the best way to make pins that will catch people’s eye and they will click, this will drive Pinterest traffic to your YouTube channel.
You do not need to be an expert designer to create beautiful anchors.
Cut a trailer with your YouTube video
Another popular way I see shared Pinterest videos from YouTube is video trailers. It just enough to arouse your viewer’s interest in clicking on your PIN and finally staying in your video.
In Pinterest Pickup Builder when you upload a video on Pinterest you can paste a YouTube URL into the builder.
This will give you the ability to watch the pinned video on Pinterest and stay in your YouTube video when you click.
Finding Your Videos On Pinterest
If you are wondering how all this will help to get traffic to your YouTube channel in the middle.
As on YouTube and Google you need to do keyword research on Pinterest. The best part about Pinterest is that you don’t need an external keyword tooling tool.
Everything is built in and you use Pinterest to find your keywords. Just head to Pinterest and use the search bar to find your keywords.
Where & How To Get Your New PIN:
Pinterest traffic to your YouTube channel
If your PIN is constructed and has the correct keyword you will be able to pin it to the most appropriate board first. That board will have a title and description with keywords.
Once I have pinned it to the most suitable board I will be rotating it to all the other boards it will go into and it will eventually end up on my blog board with all the pins of my blog.
The only thing about Pinterest right now is that you can’t use the default tool to publish your pins. You have to do it yourself, but once you pin it on your computer you can pick up your phone and pin it with your phone to other boards.
I will also add it to my Tailwind states and send this PIN to my email list.
Pinterest traffic to your YouTube channel
This is the only way to get Pinterest traffic to your YouTube channel but this is the way most people don’t know it yet.
When Pinterest becomes very popular for sharing content many people will use this forum.
